    DCC Wiring Book

dcc Planeshavings, The MRC Command 2000 unit is fairly easy to use, so is the Atlas unit. It's sort of just basic. I got a good deal on it and it was my first try at dcc so I bought it. I can run 9 trains on command and 1 normally. I also got the walk around hand throttle. I expect when I get...

    Starting Layout

Mrgooch, Looking very nice!! Thats the way I've been building layout, build one section, get it just about finished then add on. I always leave myself at least one out so I can have someplace to hook the new extention into without having to tear up already finished parts. I'm on my third...

    Layout with Unitrack

Not a bad start, but it seems you have a whole lot of empty in the middle. Also if the dimensions are 9' by 6' it will either have to be free standing in the middle of the room or one end against the wall because you won't be able to reach into it to work on it.

    cork roadbed trouble

The cork I use is made by model power and it works just like Vic was saying. The nice thing about it is that the outside edges are beveled for ballasting. It also forms the radius very well.

    Backdrops

I have just purchased 12' of backdrops from Walthers. They are not as pretty as the other company but I would rather spend my money on rolling stock and scenery. And by the time I blend my scenery into the backdrop it should'nt look that bad at all!

    awsome gravel structure

Its really something to see what they used to build out of wood years ago. Now it would be all steel I beams. The old feed mill I work in is all wood, built in 1897.
