I know the feeling as im in search of them cars to repaint them into the NYO&W hoppers they once owned. so i guess ill have to strip as much as i can and decal them.

i myself used real sifted earth/sand and it works good for me on dirt areas:D

hello lynn i love the look of those cars as you said alot of time went into them. so if painting is not one of your best assets id look to some one that has a real good hand at it. i also see that you are doing a loggoing railroad???? nice set up tho any how if you have a name for that railroad...

ok here something to think about freight car build dates. what types were built during a certain time periods like ps2 hoppers coal gondolas thing like that. the reason i ask is im looking for cars built in 30s 40s 50s era. thanks guys

i myself 27 have been in the hobby for going on 13yrs got to set up my first layout 4yrs later. all my friends thout i was nuts then but 2 layouts ;ater they see my curent one and they all just stare in aww and now 70% wish to join in on my opperations or build one of there own but lack space...

what size would 40s 50s tipical billboards be in n scale :thumb:
