I used mine to learn how to weather. People give me these things all the time. Eventually, there will probably be an old rusting out train far back in the back of my layout on some abandoned tracks... I did see one guy who ran an auction that had a big write up of what these things really...

Over the old line We make it to the transfer building to get the gator offloaded. After the crew gets it hosed out, they'll throw on some red snapper and Corona (and we won't forget to ice it down). Notice the storm even blew one of the smokestacks down at Kitt Transfer...

Passing by town, notice not even the hard core rail fans will come outside for this one.... you can smell it for miles A few deer pretend not to notice the train passing

Right away, it was discovered that there would be issues with this car.... What in the world are those little bitty couplers???!? ;-) Finally, things get sorted out and we are on our way. The crew can't wait to get rid of this one because somebody forgot to ice down the gator tails...

First light- before the town wakes up- The Gauge car rolls into Seabrook Mountain. Had a heck of a storm here last night as you can see by the debris on the streets and the leaning telephone poles along the way... It hitchhiked a ride in on a passing intermodal train

I got home to find a package waiting for me today..... Very nice! Will get a chance to take some pics tomorrow (when I can borrow a cam) or Thursday, and "should" have it on it's way by Friday.

Thanks Shamus.... I seem to remember you saying you leave some space at the back of your layout for access. If my memory is correct.... How much do you leave... How badly does that make the room feel crowded... and what kind of visual effects does that have with space between the layout...

I have been given the go ahead to take over a 12' x 12' room for my new layout. I am exstatic.... well I was... I have no clue what to do with it. I am in N-scale. I want continuous running. I want a continer port/yard... I want a mountainous section that a seperate "museum line" will...

I just figured I'd bump this up to see if anyone had more road pictures. I probably seemed to focused earlier on turnouts.... Actually, any tracks in pavement will be helpful.... Used, abandoned, paved over, brand new.... It doesn't matter! I'm leaning towards a lot of pavement on...

I am very interested to see both real and modeled tracks that run through roads, parking lots, etc... I am especially interested in seeing modeled turnouts surrounded by concrete. But any and all road pics are welcome.... Thanks so much guys....

I'm a regular lurker here who doesn't say too much that often.... I would like to say that my all time favorite thread on here was "The Box". If it could really travel around with a log book and picture evidence.... What an adventure! Count me in either way it goes.
