    assuming its a compound because one set of cylinders is huge compared to the other - however my HO Virginian 2-10-10-2 comes pretty close to the 0n30 locomotive in terms of sheer size so the HO engine would be a monster in 0

    well its effectively two 2-8-0 chassis joined together with a longer whaleback tender. Never actually measured her, but im guessing it probably measures in at something like 80cm long and about 3.5lbs

    True but AFAIK, Hornby has now brought them out and they are part of the Hornby International line of products that are starting to be released, although i could be wrong!

    sratchbuild them - its faster. unless you can get hold of the bachmann silver series hoppers, they could probably be made into half-way decent 0n30 ore cars, they are fairly basically detailed cars to begin with. Thats the only thing i can think of.

    Tom, how easy is this car to do so far? looking at buying quite a few F&C gondolas from BC Hobbies for my traction line and was wondering if they are the sort of thing that a novice like me can do - up till now the most complicated car i have made was a USRA composite hopper.
