Morning!
Chief: Thanks! I like the origional of Rear Window. Great job on the chargers! Did you tape $20's to them?
Marcie: Welcome! Nice that you have an understanding spouse!
Big day planned...Church and Train show. Sounds like some SE Michigan folks want to start up a Club or...
Doug: Look into the Lionel Burro Crane. I think you'll like it. It has some action to it, and it can just roll around the tracks.
Here's a video: YouTube - Lionel burro crane
I think this will work well in scale (size) with the Thomas offerings. The others are O-27, and may look out of...
Doug: The PW 6460 is the 8-wheel counterpart to the 2460 12-wheel crane. Same upper section, should work on the O-27. SHould be able to find one reasonable. The 6419 is the work caboose.
Sir James: Got the on Sunday's show! Going to early Church service so I can make it! Should be there about...
Don:  Banana Plugs! I could just imagine what the 'help' in the store were thinking they would be used for! wall1
Dennis: Sorry about your loss.
Need to drop off Pre-School application for the eldest today. No word from former pastor. I'll drop off the recommendation...
Morning!
Doug & Brutus: The 182 is a stationary crane. Similar to the 165. Not very big. Sits on the side of the tracks.
Not much happening here today...maybe take the girls out to an indoor playground. Promised friends I'd take care of their snow removal while they're in AZ, need to do that...
Afternoon!
Been working on the 182 Crane. Arrived yeaterday. My first crane. The more I see of this Lionel engineering I am truely amazed. They really knew what they were doing.
If you're not familiar...The crane operates with a pinion gear. They used celeniods and forks to push 'axle' gears...
Brutus: Congratulations on the Court of Honor! He'll be in OA in no time! I think Chewy had first and second's on the chili. Will keep extra Banilla around. Probably a Haagan Daas emergency pint. Chewy can have it all to herself.
Getting application ready to send youngest to pre-school...
Morning!
Brutus: Too much chili and not enough banilla.
Roy: Maybe youshould take a coulple of the PW's loco's to the casino...plunk one down on the table and say "This must be worth a mint! It's really heavy, and old!" Does it work??? I dunno..got any track?? Good luck...
Doug: Hilton head sounds great!
Booked our trip to attend wedding in May...Prices went up a bit since a week ago when I talked to travel agent. She and I were on the phone for 2-hours yesterday trying to match up flights. She couldn't see the flights on her 'travel agent' site that I could on...
Morning!
Trouble with computer this am...
Downloaded something really nasty, and couldn't get it out ...needed to do a system restore, and manually remove remaing parts. All back to normal, and McAfee restored, and confirms. Disabled internet connection as soon as computer said Task Manager...
Congratulations Mikey!
I hope "clothes and some toys" is code for trains and track!
Sir James: Sorry. I didn't know it was dealers only...That would explain the pricing. I think that will be my last one there. I expected you to walk away with one of those $400 Lionel Hobby...
Sir James: You didn't miss much...Big $$$. Nice PW stuff but they want arms and legs for it. Didn't look like a lot of people were buying. Almost bought some nut drivers. Good thing I didn't. They were way overpriced.
I think I heard something about Gratiot Valley in 2-weeks??? If...
I hooked up my 18v lamps in the 2338 to the motor posts, one each side. The motor runs at about 8-9v, and provides a nice amount of light. The result is the forward post runs at track voltage, and the rear lamp runs about half track voltage looking more like a marker. Lights change intensity...
Brutus: Go for Guitar Hero! We won't be around your house to laugh! I personally don't understand it. It seems easier to just teach yourself how to play a real guitar and play what you want, not what someone else wants you to play. Just push the color buttons.
Slow day. Daughters to 3-yo...
Doug: Enough already with the snow wand! It's been snowing here ever since I read your post. Point further south please.
Been working on the Photo Challenge...Have a few ideas sketched up...Debating on weather to build this boehemith, or just get out the daughter's color crayons...
