    Arizonia Caves

I seem to remember someone had a layout with some caves (maybe Indian) out in the desert somewhere. Does anyone remember that? Someone I know is doing a school project that is similar and I was wanting to show them the layout pictures.

A few photos of my layout

Oh as far as your question about when people are over, Nazgul, yes they are pretty amazed at how big it is. I tell them that there are a lot bigger ones out there. I think I've reached my max as far as size, I could expand a bit more, but I plan on adding/improving detail to what I already...

A few photos of my layout

I don't really have a track plan. I originally did mine on paper and laid it out on the table and made adjustments. I attempted to draw up a quick on. I hesitate to post it because it is VERY poor, but here it goes: It's basically four independent tracks. A - Passenger Train running the...

    Layout Support

I used what I think is called "L girder". 2x2's cross braced with 1x3's. Then 1x4's attached to 1x2's in an "L" shape to support the table top which was 3/4" plywood. I think it is a fairly standard design, I got it out of a book. It was very light weight (until I put the plywood on it)...

A few photos of my layout

Most of the town is from a "Gone with the wind" collection my wife had. It was the correct scale so I figured I'd put it to use.

A few photos of my layout

Thanks for the comments. I always enjoy looking at everyone's layouts so I figured I should stop being lazy and post a few. I wasn't sure if the mountain in the last picture was tall enough, so I didn't want to put any ground cover or trees on it. I made it a bit taller today and will post a...

    MT 2001 couplers

No, I was just using my hands to hold everything. I got 4 more done. I started to stick the horn into a piece of foam to hold everything still.

    MT 2001 couplers

Does anyone know where I can purchase MT 2001 couplers that are pre assembled? I have found the 2004 assembled, but I need the 2001 long shank. After 3 hours I have managed to assemble 1 of the 2001's. It's not that I lose the spring so much as I cannot get it to stay in position while I...

    Kato Truck - SD40-2

Yes, the Atlas trucks can come off when you don't want them. I'm wondering though if the Kato trucks are designed to be pulled straight out.
