Hey Chris, Ballast can be a pain. Something to think about, When you ballast your switches put a pipe cleaner in the frogs and rerailers, I use a piece of scotch tape over the points and throughs. It will make your life a lot easier when it comes time to clean it all up and run trains...

I think the gauge is great place. I will however admitt it does run slow at times. Maybe there is away to archive the older posts and pics so as not to take up as much rom on the server but still alow us to look it up? Dont really know I'm not a computer geek, just a train NUT.. Tony

Nice plan. If you do all your modules no larger than 6' X 30" you should be good to be able to get anywhere you need to go. think of it as it cant be any larger than a table or bed. As far as wiring and track connections use door hinge pins to align everything and if you can use automotive type...
