I would like some passenger trains, and frieght. Also some switching but my main liking is watching trains run. I thought of having a town on the large end with a industry . Guess i will get out the paper and pencil.
Hello i have been away from board for a long time, no layout work done due to low cash flow. I have decided to start working on a track plan so when things get better i can proceed. I have enough modules built to cover 13ft on one wall and 10 ft on another, they are 2x4 ft the lsat one is 4x4...
I have 2 foot wide modules will i only be able to get 11 inch curves? I am working in N scale. If i use a yard stick and put a pencil at 11 inches will that give me a 11 inch radius? Paul
I want to build a trestle bridge out of wood. This will be N scale. What size wood do i need. Will 1/8 square be to large? Or should it be 1/16? This will be my first attempt at this. Thanks Paul
Gavin, I have been to the Chase Marine web site he did a excellent job. I like the idea of your Noch barge. A ship even in N scale would dwarf any layout i think. Where did you get the plans for the barge? Thanks Paul
Anybody out here have a intermodal terminal on there layout? If so do you have a container ship also? If you do where did you get the ship? Are there plans to build a ship ? This is in N scale. Paul
Well the old layout was torn apart yesterday, bad planning led to its demise. Does anybody know of a site that talks mostly about types of benchwork, and how to build them?
I have read on this board about oil and grease that is safe for plactic. What are some brands you use for lubricating your engines. Are there ones you can get at a hardware store, or is there speical ones only from hobby store? Thanks
