    Thanks for the response. Both are quite heavy being die cast engines and both have "magnatraction" so being light should not be the issue.

    ZW transformer rebuild

    Jim: I mean the rollers. There are four rollers, one for each voltage controller that roll accross the secondary field. They are made of carbon and wear flat spots on them. I need to replace them but I don't want to take the trans former apart if I don't have to. Vic D

    Somewhere on the Guage I read a thread about a good source for small solenoids. Anyone have any info please let me know. I am looking for the double throw solenoids used on switches. Anyone have a good source for replacement Lionel parts? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Vic D
