ahhh history :D it is hard to believe that this is the actual building Edison got his rail road start from... this is now a nice museum I also have a few picture of the Mt. Clemens Depot where he saved a young mans life... the young mans father ran the depot and thanked Edison by giving...

And of course some more history..... to all who maay be interested there is a book on his life that has quite a few passages on his rail road experience ;)

Today me and the family decided to make a day of rail fanning.... It started with a train ride on the Michigan Transportation Museums Alco Switcher... were we caught some unusual pictures... of course the train ride cuts through an Air National Gaurd base... huh since I am military looks like...

sorry took so long to finish the update..... after the train arrived the cars were dropped off at the yard for further dissemination.... then on to Gauge industries to unload the much anticipated sweetner.. The locals are very excited that they now have splenda sweetners in...

As an update.... fine sandpaper can be cut into strips and notched like described above. With a little dry brushing for weathering it turns out nice.

tgr# 101976 was spotted coming around the mountain bend into Chesterfield this afternoon.. fresh from a cross country journey carrying a load of T.V. sets and sweetener. After clearin the Mount Clemens Tunnel she picked up a little speed and was headed for the freight yard...
