HMCS Ottawa II - build progress

I don't suppose that he could take a quick peek for some drawings of the Maggie or the Bonnie could he? And I know that my cousin would just about kill for a card model of his first ship, HMCS Fundy (Bay class minesweeper in the early 60's).

GreMir Models P-47D Oh Johnnie in Olive Drab

<When I get back to planes I think I'll do a cold warrior- maybe a big one like the F-105.> Consider the beauty of Kelly Johnstone's Silver Sliver, or if you want big, how about a really rare bird like the CF-100 Mk3 or 4?

HMCS Ottawa II - build progress

<Rick I don't understand the point you are trying to make.> Perhaps I didn't make it clear, but think of what HMCS stands for? Doesn't the Her Majesties Canadian Ship sound somewhat strange? My dark blue relatives were very emphatic on that point, so much so that even this light blue...

HMCS Ottawa II - build progress

Ahhrrrgggg...let me take a pet peeve out for a run...it is either HMCS (Or HMS, HMAS, HMNZS) Whatever, or the Whatever, but it is never the HMCS Whatever. I had this knocked into my head by an Uncle, a Cousin and a Godfather as a kid, all of them had served with the Grey Funnel lines. Had...

    Site fundraiser

Hmmm...deja view all over again. I recall something like this happening in the old Compuserve Military Forum, it was split into two areas with one being free for all, and the other costing a buck a month. I had no problems coughing up the buck, but some members screamed like the proverbial...

Reading through this thread is comforting, it seems that having a huge stockpile of unbuilt models that we will never get around to is a common affliction amoungst us.

    Payment and file transfer options

Hi John, I can't take much credit for Chris's Seafury, I only gave him some photos of the RCN version, and tweaked the roundels for him. The revised version is now up on his site if you don't have it already. I know someone gave some advice on dealing with locked pdfs but as they say the...

    Payment and file transfer options

I prefer to pay by either Paypal or credit card, and receive it as a download. Preferably in A4/letter size, and ( a pet peeve of mine ) *unlocked* so that I can recolour it as I want.

    European Stag Beetle... 1/1 scale

That is pretty sharp. If you tell me that the entire base is paper, I'm going to curl up in the corner and snivel for a goodly amount of time though... ;-)

Not certain if the votes cast before this became sorta "official" were counted, so once again I vote for #6. Truly a drop dead beautiful bit of work.

Picture of the week... Picture of the YEAR???

Aircraft are my first love, but I really have to give my vote to Flu's Locomotive. GB's Bristol Fighter and Ashrunners Delphin are close runners up though.
