the Bull on the front is amazing. Can you imagine looking into its eyes as the train wizzes by only a few feet away. Way too cool.

One of my favorite places to spend time is walking along the CPR rail bridge with the walkway overlooking the spillway. I am still waiting for the opportunity to be up their when a train goes by. 6' away on a perfectly safe walkway. Not much better a place for rail fanning. I recommend...

I just recently had to do this at work, (solder all the connections to a ribbon cable), it was not as hard as i expected but there definately are easier ways to do it, especially if you are not so good at soldering. Typically ribbon cables are used to connect one header to another. I could see...

Great idea I like this idea for a unique load. personally i have some case steam traction engines as loads on my layout.

gorillapod Personally i use the gorillapod for my model photography. Radioshack sells it. I found that it works well as you can move the legs to best fit over and/or around various objects on your layout. see link for a picture http://www.joby.com/gp2.html
