Hey Trucklover, Looking good. I have been following this module since you first announced it and am thouroughly impressed. I was thinking I might try and do something similar down the road. And as someone who has operated lots of that machinery before it is nice to see a wide selection...

Building a Canadian wooden grain elevator.

Ya thats what i tell people too. I think they were supposed to be 65, or 75s but i say that they are all 110's. I have 3 good ones and one that is missing wheels. 1 of the 3 also has a canopy on it. Right now my layout is in pieces as i have been doing some renovations in the basement. I used...

Building a Canadian wooden grain elevator.

Chad, I like that Steam Traction Engine on the flat car in the background. I have a couple that are in 1/64th scale and am wondering if that one is 1/64 or is it a different size. If it is different where did you get it? If that is 1928 then that should be just about the end of life for...

    Members signature quote

Was this it? "Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... WOW! What a ride!"

    New Layout Room

Some more details, answers to questions Duckunders are a possibility. I am still young and very mobile. ceiling is 8 feet with a few ducts and such up there that bring areas down to 6.5-7 feet. I am trying to avoid the blue area but it might be possible to run a single track around behind...

    New Layout Room

Access I do still need access to the blue area, the yellow is just the floor space that does not have anything sitting on top of it right now. I was considering the G shape as well. I will try and draw up some rough ideas today depending on what comments i get. Thanks for the input, Mike

    New Layout Room

So we just got a new furnace installed and with all the work that entails it gives me some new space for my trains. Currently I have a shelf layout in another room and it is not doing it for me. With the upcoming renovations it is not going to be possible to keep the current layout so i have...

    What sunsets?

My sunset Here is one of my favorite pictures. It is not a picture of a train but it is a picture of a major supporting industry to Canadian prairie rail lines. This was taken as my father finished leveling the grain truck, before we took the final load of wheat to the elevator, as the last...

CPR 2816 August 19 2007 *Not Dial UP Friendly*

Nice pics of a beautiful engine. My family got to ride this big guy last year and quite enjoyed it. As traction steam fans we like anything that uses a fire and boils water.

    Question for Canadians ...

I dont usually have to pay duty on most of the stuff i have bought. I have had to pay fees for some of the larger stuff i bought. I think it was about 20$ on a motorcycle jacket, and about 5-10 for a 70$ radio. For train stuff i have never had to pay anything extra. As for purchasing from...
