    Winter attempt

Jflessne, I have never used Woodland Scenics' "snow". Be sure to let us know how it works out for you. Please take some "before" and "after" photos, if at all possible! That stuff is very expensive compared to plaster... Peter

    Winter attempt

Hi, Josh -- I get most of my stuff on the internet, but, spend very little on the hobby. Plaster and paint is cheap and go a long way! :)

Recent deadly accident This was an unfortunate crash with two cars ending up in Rocky Creek. Two drowned, one lady survived. Investigation later revealed one of the the drivers was a railfan who was distracted by a beautifully restored steamer passing by on the parallel bridge... Photos...

    Winter attempt

I have switched from winter to summer several times over the years. All it takes is painting everything. Pine trees actually look better after "summerizing". Plastic structures are easy to clean. Ballast can be a problem...

    Scenery photos

Thanks, Steve. But, don't be too impressed... I used a lot of commercially available rock molds. Only after much carving experimenting trying to seamlessly tie the molded faces together did I start getting the hang of it. Sort of. A geologist would probably say, half of what I did does not...

Here is my first attempt at creating a winter scene on part of my N layout. I would appreciate any suggestions to improve it. Thanks! (I am not sure if I uploaded correctly...)

    Nov/Dec 06, conjure up a winter scene

Pond Junction in Winter Just this week end, Pond Junction got about 6" of snow -- even the pond started to freeze over... This is part of my N scale project. The rest of it is still green; didn't have the heart to cover it in a white blanket. Maybe in December...
