Do dcc equipped locos have them on "analog" or "dcc" mode when they are bought? I have a DCC equipped Atlas GP38 and I dont realyl want to open the thing up...I think I have to... It says run it on DC to test if it works...Is it on DC right now? or must I open it up and switch to DC... I got...

I know there is solid wire and threaded wire and different gauges... But what about stuff like "speaker wire" (for speakers/music output) etc... What am I looking for? I need 16 gauge and 22 gauge wire but not sure what exactly to get... I dont wanna get some wire for speakers if its wrong...

I think this is correct, am I right? I am trying to connect two atlas under table switches into 1 atlas switch control box (momentary switch thingy) (Do I need a certain gauge if I am doing this or am I find with atlas layout wire?)

I just tried using the solder on my old sectional bachmann track.. THe solder that comes with some soldering sets... the thick stuff lol... IT SUCKS... Its dull and its too much at one time, its hard to control... The 0.015 takes a lot more obviouisly but its more precise...I like it :)
