I have seen a beautiful german steam engine a few times on Ebay it is kind of high end in price but if you are going to do it do it right. i think it is a 2-8-2 but not sure may have been a 2-10-2 but any way it is beautiful. if you get a chance look there for one.

well for the past week i have been building another one. when i got the plains one line got to me. it says "this model has to be built in an abandoned state" to me this is a chalenge never say to me "you have to do it this way only." so for the last week i have been seeing what i could come up...

Ok guys here it is 90% done so far.

that was a pic of it on my mobile photo base. i just hadto make a few pics of it to see how it looked in Sepia tone. and i think it looks pretty good. i will post a pic of the whole thing as soon as i get it done. The base for this kit is the hardest part.

Here is what i found walking the tracks this cold christmas eve morning.

Everything will get a lot more weathering once it gets put on the base. right now i am about 85% done with the building and 0% done with the base i think the base will take me at lest 2 to 3 weeks to do right. this is a scratch built FSM kit so i am having to find things that will work I spent...

here is the Mackenzie milling co i am building from scratch i bought a copy kit that was very bad. I got a good set of Instructions from a guy on the net and have been able to re do most of the kit so far here are 5 pics of it as it isnow about 65% done with the building.

well i get Blueprints from old MR's and RMC's and there are some of us who have saved all the paperwork from ever kit we ever owned. and we traid them to others. i have about 100 sets now some are FSM if you are interested contact me at uap@triad.rr.com

depends on what kind of sign it is. if the sign would have been on poster bord or wood i use card stock to print it on. if it was painted on the building i try to use the thinest papper i can find to print it on. then i use white glue and let it sit for a couple min so it gets realy wet and...

At the size of this little guy i don't see a way to power it. it is static 100% and was a pain to get that lead truck right and it still is off alittle as you can see in that pic. I used a On-Trak Mack ac rail truck for the rear wheels and the wheels on the lead truck. I used a Jordan Highway...

This is my kitbashed HOn3 Mack Rail truck in color. finily got done with it and i think it looks pretty good.

My HOn3 layout has a 4% Grade on it and i use a MDC 2-8-0 it slows dowwn alot on the grade but makes it up every time. I have added alot of weight in it as i do in all my HOn3 engines for just this reason. as far as i know it does not hurt the motor unless it binds it and stop's it alltogether...

who cares if it was real or not you made it it runs on your layout so it is real enough. and all i can say is WOW!!!!
