    Which do you prefer??

    I would "like"a nice backdrop, even if it was just sky 'n' clouds. I "have"the wall/ceiling {hip roof} painted blue.

    Caulk vs Woodland Scenics Foam Tack Glue

    I don't know if my vote counts, like everything else I kind of beat my own drum. My road bed is cut from leftover "maranti board" {1/4 " plywood} stuck dowm with a mishmash of stuff, caulk, white glue, yeyyow glue and paneling adhesive, depending on what was laying around and how big a gap there...

    My HO Layout in Toronto Canada

    Thermal That's some nice modeling. My empire is in an unheated garage so I have a bit of a warp problem too. What I did with some of the larger roofs is glue pieces of old brass {or steel}rail on the underside.

    Mountain Construction

    Mountain{?} construction I don't know if these qualify as "mountains"but they'r part of a mountainus area. I made mine with foam{white, cheap}covered with cheesecloth soaked with "polly-filla" then coloured with a wash of gray paint. The crossing photo just kinda got chucked in for the halibut.

    Poll- have you scratchbuilt anything?

    Due to near terminal poverty ,all the buildings on my empire are scratch built using whatever I can scrounge. Matboard, sombody gave me a batch that used to be photo backing, popsicle sticks for lumber and ties, soaking plywood till the layers come apart. Ground foam used to be the back seat of...

    just checkin'

    Mill/yardin' horse This is the firsr thing I tried to scratch build, about four years ago and have yet to finish it. I can't decide if I'm going to finish it or start over. The yardin' horse was something I did to add to a farm scene. I promise to try and improve.

    just checkin'

    Every so often I take a peek at this forum 'cause I have an old mill on my empire. It's an old "turn down" mill that I worked in off and on for nearly twenty years.Very crude piece of gear, run by a Detriot deisel it could be heard for miles, and the noise inside ,with what seemed like miles of...

    Green Lane Bridge over Schuylkill river

    This is really just a tease but there was a "how to" build that bridge or one very close in either MRR or model railroad craftsman but I can only narrow the search down to the last four years sorry. If it's any consulation it was made mostly of blue foam. good luck

    No trains...

    brain damage{self inflicted} is my only excuse,I built soooo many models when I was a kid{AMT was the best}I can't believe that faux pas. Look at your scenes long enough and they start moving.{now you know where the damage was done lol}

    No trains...

    Fantastic as ever , to me it's the little things that make a big diference ,like the "t model"model{it is a "t" right?} anyway the drivers window being half was down is one such "little thing" Not to be sucking up but your stuff is consistently better than the average MRR{magazine}photos.
