I notice the cone to the smokestack on one of your donkeys is a bit roughed up, was that intentional (as though it's been dragged under too many low hanging branches, lol) or would you like something better?
I'd suggest going to the hardware store and looking for brass or nylon barb fittings...
4-4-0's have traditionally been harder to produce because they're so small, therefore more expensive :cry:
Try micro-mark, they usually have bachmann stuff really cheap. I got an HO shay for about $100.
That's one thing you Eastern guys have going for you- Neat little tunnel loaders like the surrey parker! I'm too addicted to big spar trees, highleads, heel booms, and 2-3 donkeys sitting around on the landing though heh. Keep up the good work!

I also noticed the lack of a water tank and fairlead on the bachmanns, and it would've been nice of em to put a tin roof on em as a separate piece.
I have 3 of those bachmann donkeys, 2 in a blister pack and one as a flatcar load, just the other day from the LHS. They have pretty good piping detail but i agree with what ya said above about putting bigger skids on em, please let me know how it works for ya?
