    Storm Talon

I have asked questions to silveroxide in PM which I think would benefit everybody so here it comes again: Hello Silveroxide, a couple of questions: 1) in the case of the landing craft you mentioned using glue to make the rivets, what kind of glue are you using, what about the stormtalon 2) you...

    Storm Talon

I don't know if you have the plastic model but a nice thing about newobmij design is that he went out and bought the model and designed the paper version by measuring it (with calipers I assumed based on his latest blog post). So you have a base version to work with which you know to be in...

Based on Newobmij blog it could end up as a cake. Not sure if he makes them with chocolate

    Storm Talon

107 and 108 are reversed? the gun tub looks painted in 107 and plain in 108. If I remember correctly you are going to get a few more fit issues underneath the talon due to the overextended cockpit. Also I think you are adding much more than a little compared to what I had done in term of...

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

First dread is finished, first I'll show the building pictures of the power fist, I tried to use Silveroxide over lamination technic and almost every part is solid paper with the exception of the wrist which is still a cone with 4 layers of 250g/m2 and one of 190g/m2 paper. I also tried to...

looking good. One thing to remember regarding reinforcement of the main body is that part 12 (my numbering, see my annotated version of the ultramarine pdf) can be used to significantly reinforce the structure.

    stormtalon by newobmij

don't forget to take a look at Silveroxide build thread (not finished at the time of this post) He details both how to build the template and how he improves on it.

Regarding the heaviness of. Laminated tail. What I did is laminate with foam board which is lighter than the same thickness of card.

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

one problem with this one is that the shoulders are too close to the center sarcophagus, In addition the armor cladding on those shoulders is not correctly glued, I realized when making the backpack that they interfere with it (see the previous picture on how I had to actually cut the left...

    Warhammer Armor and things.

Sorry for the necroposting but these build thread from silveroxide are really engrossing and the site in question is now dead. I was wondering if it was (the build thread) posted somewhere else.

Also I wait impatiently to see how you reinforced the fuselage and cockpit as well as how you'll do the clear canopy and the interior.

Silveroxide, from the picture where I see the main body I can see that you made a mistake when building it. It is the same I did with the Ultramarine Talon and that I fixed on Newobmij advice on the Blood raven (it is bad but I am happy that pretty much everybody is doing the same not just me)...

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

another update. At this rate this pair of dreadnought will be finished by end of the week end. I have done a bit more detailing on number 2 (sorry no pictures) and finished the right arm with assault cannon for dread 1 + the left shoulder and the smoke launcher. I have also fixed the pelvis...

    Storm Talon

thanks, most of the time they were easy to read but for those last one, like Armorman I had a hard time. Great great build, and I have been digging up the previous thread you made here and on Dakka. I still have a good way to go both in my building and my reporting it.

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

They won't go to waste I'm finishing them and will just make the other ones in addition. I haven't seen any build thread for the new series of dreadnought from Patoroch, I wonder if anyone did do one. What seems interesting is that they appear to be at least partially modular. Meaning there...

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

just a quick update, I had these dreadnoughts in my to build pile for a while and I just found out that they are an older design from Patoroch who has now updated his design including with many different liveries and options. I may end up building a hybrid of the two as the new design seems...

    Harkonnen's WH40k Builds

I just discovered this thread. I think the last 2 models look very good. I have discovered like you that colored markers don't look too good on pictures. I usually use black for this reason.

    Patoroch models

Hello, I know it is necroposting, I know it is bad, but I just discovered this posts and in particular the vk link posted by ARMORMAN. This is so much easier to access than the deposit file and other 4 chans that I think it is worth it to put that link in a clear place in the war40k thread by...

    dreadnoughts (Patoroch with Newobmij recolor)

Some progress. First I have finished the back of both dreads. By looking at the GW miniature I decided to add more hoses on the back. I modeled them with twisted wire and since I am happy with the result I'll probably change the hoses under the pelvis to this same type of hoses. I am looking...
