    What's with all graffiti?

While i don't really accept Graffitti, it IS a large part of railroading (sadly), and it's something i plan to model, in due time, as soon as my layout gets past the foam stages, and i have more time to focus on that sort of thing. Mike, your work looks A++ As usual! I like the look of the...

Making Ground Foam in Your Home

jmarksbery, I might be reading your post wrong, but it seems to me that you might not totally understand what happened. I wrote the article i posted several months ago...so, Fred's article was of no inspiration to me, nor was it the "original". Regardless, i seem to be catching some heat for...

Perils and pitfalls... yeah, I'm a newbie.

Lee, Dang! I like that one ALOT more!!! Looks more industrial BUT still has room for scenery. I don't see any major issues right now...besides, what is a plan but an unplanned series of revisions to the plan? hehe Later AR

    Stepping down from the forums

Howdy Jon, At least your not totally leaving us...that would be a real loss! Shame we'll loose you as a moderator, but one's family and life comes before railroading (or so i've been told) Happy trails (or rails?) and keep us updated on the new job! later AR EDIT: Bob...i agree! :D

    SD70i

Hey Mike, As far as i understood, CN only had SD75I's, but they might have SD70I's as well. Not 100% sure of that. The I stands for Isolated, meaning the cab is isolated from the frame, reducing vibration and increasing comfort. Hope it helps Later AR

    Smd

SMD is still in buisness...IIRC it stands for Scale Model Division or something like that. The guy that runs it, Serge, and I are friends...and we have talked quite frequently about modeling ideas. Alain Pelletier is also a friend. Both of them live in neighboring New Brunswick. I'm not...

need help asap on yard design

Not sure about "contrals", but "contrails" are the white cloud-like streams of condensing water Vapour left by jet-powered aircraft, usually only visable above 27 000 feet, but occasioanlly lower, down to, on some occasions, 15 000 feet. Sorry, totally irrelivent. Later AR

Lionel Strang vs Allen Gartner Feeder wire length

If Allan is correct, then i am soooooo screwed! I've got feeders on my layout that are nearly 6 FEET, let alone 6-inches. That said, i have NO problems with voltage drop, poor running or anything like that. Most of my feeders are about 3-feet in length. IMHO, i suggest you go with Lionel. I...

Hey, I just converted from stone-age to 21st century...err, that is to say, DC to DCC.
