Ain't seen paint for a while

I've seen 4732 down in this neck of the woods before, and i agree, it's beat to death! Shame i didn't have my camera with me at the time. These units are the ones i'd like to try and replicate in N-scale. AR

    Derailment today

Can't help but notice the snow on the ground...perhaps the rails were slick, and an attempt at stopping failed? And as to who should get demerits for that, my guess would be either the TYC (Train yard coordinator), RTC or Dispatcher....if train A doesn't know where train B is, that could be...

    New be Flytox

I don't have any ceramic chicks, but i can probably get my girlfriend in a Mini-skirt to model some of my models...does that count? :D Very nice work with the cardboard too, Flytox! While i still prefer styrene (easier for me, i guess), i've always been amazed with what some people can do...

    politically correct

absquatulation...it's a noun, and it describes the action of going away suddenly, or making off with something. For an Example: If the train doesn't show up soon, the railfans will assume total absquatulation. Good enough for ya? AR

    Foam Putty

I doubt you'll be able to get it out of said mold...that stuff sticks! I had it on my hands for a month after doing some repairs to the grandfather's house. I think woodland scenics makes a foam putty, i think...comes in a can, as a paste-like substance and can be spread around. not sure...

    Loco ID help please

The new Atlas release, the CLASSIC ones, are one-piece light boards with body-mounted couplers. That appears to be an older Atlas/Kato RS2 with the two-piece boards (ala the Kato SD45) with truck-mount couplers. AR

    chck this out

Oroka, More then 2 grand worth of materials there....lets note that the locomotives, power packs, buildings and rolling stock is all included. That must be worth $1500 - $2000 right there. A quality turn-table, lots of running (meaning lots of tracK) and what appears to be a professionally...

    Kitbashing Newbie...(bridge)

Kevin, I'd like to know where you buy your scratchbuilding materials! I've bought enough styrene to build a dozen truss bridges for less then the cost of TWO of the Atlas Bridges. AR

Mike, Could be....but the last time we went railfanning together, it was HER idea! And, she picked the location. AR

    Torsion Beam Tampers

Hey Guys, Windsor & Hantsport, the local shortline, has had MRM (Maritime Rail) Equipment on-hand for the past couple months, working on various segments of their subdivisions. Today, they were working at Mile 33.51, the grade crossing right near my house. I walked down to talk to the...

    Need American 4-4-0 Advice

What scale? Model Power just released an N-scale American 4-4-0, and while not as civil-war-looking as the Bachmann version, it's still a perfectly good, nice running locomotive. If your into HO, i can't help ya... AR
