Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N Tutorial 1: Introduction COMPUTER-ASSISTED 3D CARDMODEL DESIGN (CA3CD) FOR BEGINNERS It has been observed that it is a bit disappointing for a forum devoted to advancing card-modeling to have very few dedicated tutorials on the subject, which would allow...

    Jay's Box of Sci-Fi CardToys

WIP: Question This is just a WIP, keeping up my proficiency with Meta and Pep; one tends to forget all the functions that were learned by trial and error... I don't have the another wave coming in just yet! Just wanted to ask, does anyone have any data on the dimensions for this? I'd like to...

    Jay's Box of Sci-Fi CardToys

Sorry, I just saw this now, months later. You can roll up any kind of large cardpaper to make the inner tube. Just make the diameter fit the inner diameter of the rear half of the station, and make it as long as to the end of the section before the docking ring. Assemble the reactor section and...

    Designing the Su-7, Su-9, Su-17, Su-22 and MiG-21

having too many tabs in a nose cone will deform the cone because of the accumulating thickness of overlapping tabs. i can see that being a problem for smaller builds (, how can you make them so small???). you either (1) reduce the number of tabs when you cut the pattern, (2) maybe just...

    Designing the Su-7, Su-9, Su-17, Su-22 and MiG-21

i did that the first time, and found out the hard way that freewebs had a monthly bandwidth limit; once it is exceeded it locks down the site until the end of the month, when you get your next month's allocation. it's fairly large (500MB), but if you have enough people coming into the site and...

    Designing the Su-7, Su-9, Su-17, Su-22 and MiG-21

Free file hosting by Savefile.com works for me, at least you don't get the annoying pop-ups, waits, and download limits of rapidshare (oughta be called slowshare) and similar sites... i think zSHARE - Free Image, Video, Audio, Flash and File Hosting .net is also ok. in both cases you can...

    Designing the Su-7, Su-9, Su-17, Su-22 and MiG-21

I agree. the sheer number demands it. it would also be nice if it was organized and had pictures, maybe similar to trotskiy's or ojimak's.

    WOLF 359: Resistance is futile!!!

I think D-Whale's on a good track here, by using "clean" textures, the builder can customize the weathering and colors as much as s/he wants. All you need is a bunch of colored pencils. Besides, it will help save on ink! :)

great work, and in so little time! :thumb: i haven't been looking around the forum much lately, so i was surprised to see this explosion of aircraft. i recommend that you release the MiG-25 Foxbat and the 2-seat MiG-31 Foxhound nonetheless. they are obviously different aircraft, and anyone...

Think Jays Galactica is lonely, need some help

hi, you can do anything you wish with the mesh! texturing it using the ortho on this thread should work, since that's what i used as the background image for modelling. divide the ortho into the different planes (top, bottom, etc.) then apply it to the mesh using Meta's texturing menu. for the...
