    Thank you! I started building the paper Proteus this week, I defintely want to build the Discovery at some point. I have been working on a resin Discovery and posted pics in my gallery of my progress.

    I added a gallery of a build I am doing of the Discovery. It's still a work in progress as I am scratch building a detailed pod bay. Check it out, I'll post more picks as it completes. Started working on a paper Proteus from uhu 02, so I'm side tracked. : )

    I used the kit's decals on the small tanks I created, allowing them to curve over the round styrene strip giving a 3D look.

    The completed small tank section fits into the recess section of the wall.

    I glued thin, round styrene strip onto a section of sheet styrene in three groups of three to create the smaller tanks.

    Here are the oxygen tanks in the recessed wall section. I used paint and tiny decals to add details.

    I used needle files to shape some tiny model sprue pieces into oxygen tanks and added styrene strip sections for detail.

    Using thin styrene strips I added detail to the wall as well as piping at the top.

    Here is the beginning of the rear wall. I cut out recessed sections for the large and small oxygen tanks and built a framework behind them.

    I then folded the hallway into the distinctive octagonal shape and glued it to the outside of the finished doorway section.

    On the back of the hallway section, I used strips of black electrical tape to only allow light through the thin sections.

    To create the iconic lighted hallway, I attached sections of the decal onto clear plastic sheet. I glued thin strips on the folding joints for support.
