I just purchased my 1st Broadway limited locomotive the AT&SF 3800 class 2-10-2 and have to say its a step up on the Bachmann specturm line.
Extremly heavy and with optional traction tires is suppose to pull 80 40ft freight cars on straight and level track. 40 without.
Also the QSI sound system...
Thanks Chris, I'm seriously thinking of getting one from FDTs ,extremly good looking engine,great sound from what i hear on that little soundbite plus our club layout's southwestern of course here in sunny AZ.

One thing that i'm planning to do on mine is to replace the front truck on the tender with a precision scale one. Its rather crude looking to my eyes as old and weary as they are :mrgreen:
A'yep...All things must come to an end i guess....Oh' i'm not ashamed of my Akane it runs like a swiss watch and will pull just about anything i hang on her tender'....just wish it had a Vestibule like the westside.
One day soon i plan on installing a Tsunami heavy steam decoder in it ...maybe...
Tell you what' though i love my Akane it looks almost primitive compared to the Westside detail wise.

I remember going there when the roundhouse was still standing a'bet only two stall's but still! and there were two blue B&O diesels inside...a friend and I were given permission to go through both of them.
also missing is the open sided caboose shop that was to the west and just behind those two...
