Assembled and riveted the bottom wall of the panel, which is part of the airlock corridor. Since I do not assemble according to the instructions, but through one place .. Ken suggests assembling the back of the panel and then glueing all of it. But I decided to go differently, I glue...

    (TOS) Colonial Viper (MK-I)

Great clean build. As I recall the nose of the MK2 Viper, which I did not succeed the first time. And this one looks just great.

Added a couple more details that are not provided by Ken. One is under the handle, the right of the Alerts display. The second is located in the bottom left of the panel and looks like a joystick. Also, I painted all the rivets in the color of the panel. The handle made from the 2mm capillary...

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

I will try to make it as detailed as possible. But I'm afraid I won't be able to implement door mechanization because of too small dimensions. But it's worth a try ...

I increase the details. I installed all rivets and screws of the devices. For the screws of the devices, I used balls of 0.4 mm, after pressing in, they become about 0.5 mm. I also added those rivets and screws that Ken had not provided on this part, guided by the photos of the real panel.

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

The last couple of working weeks have been very hard for me and only today I found time to continue modeling. All the toggle switch and small details are glued on. The switches are painted in light gray on both sides. Glue and paint every switch is very quickly, but it took a lot of time to...

Will it be part of a hangar with a launch tube, or just a tube? I am also ready to assemble the same diorama.

Experimenting with toggle switches. I decided to use copper wire, with a chrome finish, as it is soft and can be flattened.

In parallel with the panel rebuild, I am assemble the toggle switch covers. I cut the part into 3 pieces and assembled it. This method produced sharper corners of the parts than if I just bend by folding lines.

In this case, I glue the back side with glue so that the wire does not fall inward, since I had to make 0.45 mm holes, due to the fact that it is very difficult to get into the 0.3 mm hole fitted to the diameter of the wire during weaving.

In the meantime, this is the fourth time I rebuild the panel from the beginning. II was not satisfied with the fastening of the dividers, as the wire began to fall out and does not stay in place. I re-printed the sheet with the panel, started to make, but immediately glued the transparent...

I use needles for a flux dispenser. This is the exact OD in mm for the needles I have from G15 to G20. 15-1.8, 16-1.6, 17-1.5, 18-1.3, 19-1.1, 20-0.9 mm

To the existing flux needles purchased from the electronics components store, I ordered this set with a handle. 1 Set Metal Embroidery Stitching Punch Needle Handmade Needlepoint Kits Sewing Tool Set With Tube For DIY But these needles need to be modified. First, they need to be cut and...

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

I bought 0.25 and 0.3 mm wire today. There is a new 0.3 mm wire divider on the front, an old 0.4 mm wire divider on the back, a difference of 0.1 mm is very visible and looks neater. In half an hour, I cut 200 pieces at once, maybe more, in the end I lost count. The rework forced me to...

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

I had a similar situation with the wings for the X-Wing, it was just a little before completion, and I had to rebuild half of the model. I installed the headlights on the back of the wings.

Don't worry, it's not the first time for me to completely redo some very complex detail.

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

You're right, wire toggle switches work very well, But now I don't like the thickness of the dividers. I am thinking about using a thinner wire for them.

They are so small that hand cutting will not look very good, I want a more stable result. There is also an option to flatten the wire on the anvil, and cut to the template.

    1/12 Apollo Command Module

For the sake of interest, I counted the dividers, it turned out 216 pieces. How many of them are left on the side panels I'm afraid to imagine. I also plan to install all the toggle switches. Since they are too small there are 2 options: 1. Order laser cutting, but I doubt that they will turn...
