I did hollow out the intakes on one ship and it didn't turn out too well. Maybe the knife was dull or the foam had been sitting around too long. I think many things effect the foam board, even temperature.

This is one of four versions of the pilot's compartment. This version is the most angular and difficult to assemble.

This is one of many white versions I made. Notable on this model is the pilot's seat is much narrower than on most. Also some have said this is too big and should be smaller for a 1-person craft.
