    Our Club

EP&SW Modules Bill, Some nice shots of the modules. Kinda makes me home sick for the club in El Paso. The gentleman whom built the "Kiva" Indian ruins is Carl Sowell. His work is remarkable and has placed several high honers in national contests. The water wheel/mill was scratchbuilt by...

    Little River Lumber Co.

Little River Nice photos! Great to see real railroading, not a bunch of growlers with 100 covered hoppers behind them. I have recently purchased two (2) 2-4-4-2 Little River logging engines for the S&BNLCRR. Nice because the Little River was standard gauge. Once again, thanks for sharing...

    MDC 2 Truck Shay

Bear Traps on Shays There were some experimental "Bear Traps" applied to shays, however, not succesful. There was not enough draw through the trap to be benificial. Most shays choked out with this design. Of course, its your railroad, I think a "Bear Trap" would look cool on one!

    MDC 2 Truck Shay

NWSL Shay Re-gears In response to the comment/question of upgrading the MDC shay with all of the NWSL brass gears, etc., DON"T SPEND THE MONEY!!!!! There are several way to improve the running of the MDC shay without all the expense. Other than the timing of the gears, the next issue is the...
