Model Train Show in Markham, Ont. on Oct. 21

I had no time to go to the Woodstock show, but that's ok, I had no $$ to spend either. I have heard that there will be a Niagara Falls model train show Oct 28. Let me do some digging and see if I can find some more details...

Model Train Show in Markham, Ont. on Oct. 21

It's also the Woodstock Model Train show this Sunday. I guess your report answers my question as to whether or not George's will be at the show. :)

    Hello from Manitoba Canada

Ron, it appears that OSR sold the 44 tonners to the grain elevator they were used at, not long after they bought them. There are at least 3 RS23s, and they do get used regularly. Old Time Trains for more OSR info.

Recent photos from York Railway Modellers Club

The Woodstock station and it's surrounding area is replicated quite well on the layout, judging from the pictures, except for maybe the trackage and amount of greenery. Thanks for posting the pics. :)

    Hello from Manitoba Canada

Hi Ron, nice to see such a unique railway being modeled. The closest I've ever come to the GWWD (that I know about) is the railway crossing of the TransCanada in east Manitoba. There is a handful of RS23's operating on the Ontario Southland ex-CP line less than 5 minutes from my work here.

Are you a member of that club? Do you have any more photos of the Galt station or some of the Woodstock station? Do you know how they built the models of those stations?

Wayne, am I reading this right, that you're using the ballast "curbs" to lock your buildings in place? Neat idea....

    Layout Progress Update 09/24/07

Ok, I went back and took a closer look at the Massey Harris sign in the pictures. I admire it when people get their history right on their layouts. You have an awesome start to your layout, keep it up! :)

    Layout Progress Update 09/24/07

Getting technical here, but I believe in the 50's it would be a Massey Harris plant, not Massey Ferguson. You have an awesome start on your layout. I love seeing in progress photos, especially with bits of buildings laying around to mark the location of future completed buildings. :)

Methinks the Firebird needs the gold honeycomb rims and a smoky behind it. :)

    GO Coach Behind ON Train

No, still government owned (thankfully). The province backed out of selling after after seeing some of the political problems of the CN takeover of BC Rail around the same time. Interesting thing is ON owns/operates a big chunk of ex-CN between Cochrane and Hearst. And CN still gets into...

    GO Coach Behind ON Train

GO gets a lot of its equipment fixed by ON in North Bay, since both are owned by the provincial government.
