    If N scale is half the size of HO scale. And HO scale is 1/90(1:87) in size. Then HO scale runs at 1:9 (or 1:8) fast time.;) Does N scale than run at Twice that of HO ? :rolleyes:

    For power if u don't go DCC than u will need a trottle for each engine. Here is a diagram showing a dual cab system. If u go this route i would purchase a book called "Wiring Your Layout" by Atlas or check it out.

    Hi Tom. Usually they backed in , depending on the circumstances. Generally there was a turntable. But you can always find a variation somewhere. ;) But for our small empires i would say its up to U. :D

    Hi Aerion. For that loop u make a pop out in the middle so u can access the track in the corner along the wall. Or have a tunnel in the corner and u can access the track from underneath. :)

    First weathered loco

    WoW that looks good. i like those paint mistakes. Try to clean it up and make it worse, nah, it looks great. The letters and numbers are always the worse on those older stean engines. Nice going Val, your engine looks real worn. :D

    i've seen steam engines with the red windows and white wheel trim but i can't remember if CP or CN and the class. But i will see if i can find some pics. i had some stored on a cd. i know u just about have ur paint job all done. But i would like to know about the colors too. :)

    Ideas Please!

    At the top of the stairs u can build a 4' loop and continue along the way. That gives u 3' to get by. u can make the loop a mountain area with a curve trestle. So when anyone is coming up the stairs they will see the trestle and the mountain terrain. :)
