Hi Bill. Hope u have a great trip. i presume u are going to take lots of pictures. Just a note about film, if u use it. Don't put your film in the camera before u fly and get one of those bags from your LCS (local camera shop) that prevent xrays from going through to put your film in. i was on a...
Great idea to go to your LHS and look at a few mags. The first track plan is out of the book, "The Practical Guide to HO Model Railroading" and the second plan is from, "101 Track Plans for Model Railroaders". Both published by Kalmbach. :D
Hi Ben. Know the feeling. :( i made my partner ROFLHAO when i took my power saw to the layout :D
i wonder if a jug of cheap windshield washer would also do the trick.
Sometimes i think a stick of Dynomito is the best ;) unfortunately there is nothing reusable.

Its really hard to tell. But make sure the wheels are insulated correctly. u will have to use a wire and light or an ameter to check for current on each wheel. The sparks could be caused from improper grounding. Good luck and u will eventually solve the problem. ;)
Airbrushing is the fastest why of painting. i use my airbrush for the models and for the layout. i found painting the scenery on the layout gave me alot of practice and i got alot painted in a short time frame. (not base coat, did that with 6" brush and can of interior latex paint).
i have...
i didn't mean to post another fast clock question in regards to one time. i was just poking a little fun between N scale and HO scale :p Actually i have a fast clock for my layout and i use it for operations in the same manner. i can set the different ratios up to 12 : 1. Yet i like...
Hi N Gauger, i wasn't going by the dates. i met Shamus in fall of 2000, if my memory serves me correct. On the old trainorder board. He introduced me to the gauge. In January/2001 i posted with the help of Shamus, to the Academy, Making Mountain Backdrops.
i know for some of us this is our 3rd. Christmas on the gauge. Wow:D and i just cannot say enough about all of its members old and new. i'm just glad to be a part of it. Thanks :D :D
