    Posting pictures?

Not a "how to" but a "why". Some pictures that are posted show up so that I don't have to scroll across the page to view them, while others require scrolling, maybe as much as five photos across the page. Is this due to the way they are posted, or is it something in my computer? If it is the...

    Meet Monty

That's better than sitting on top of whatever you're reading on your lap. We have several who do that, from time to time. And we do have some who used to try to play with the trains, but I've pretty well discouraged that, I think.

Ok. 10, if it's not already taken; and I'll go for the donation, too.

    Dave Flinn It`s your day

Thanks to all who sent me greetings on my "big day", although I didn't get to read any of them until a day later. Oh well, that's what comes of usually checking The Gauge in the morning, my time.

All Members :) Gauge Member's Location Map!!

Yes, I finally added some information about mine, but I haven't had time to go through avery/anybody else's yet. It would be great if everyone added something; but we'd never have the time to read them all. Have to be selective, I guess; or maybe a few each day.

    Playing with Trains-The Book

I read the book and didn't realize until I got into it that it was going to be about a professionally built model railroad. While most of us can't afford that and others, whether they can afford it or not, choose to do their own modeling, I still enjoyed the book. As I am more into operations...

All Members :) Gauge Member's Location Map!!

Well, I added me, so I'm there (Lansing, NY, USA) but had a bit of trouble trying to get the proper zoom and map location so I could sort out all the different entries. It does work, though.

    Happy MLK day

Mathyro: Just out of curiosity, where and when were you in South Africa? I led a Rotary Group Study Exchange Team there, back in 1987, primarily in the Durban area. Enjoyed my stay very much; but certainly abhorred the apartheid.

    nature

"I know this is't model related but a friend sent me these pics of natures light show." It could be model related. Who's going to be the first to do a backdrop that way?

    Polar Express: 2 thumbs up

My wife and I finally got around to seeing it last Sunday, but not the Imax version. It was still a great movie, and Tom Hanks sure was a busy guy.

New web page with new pics!

Nice pics, Graham. I was never really "into" British rail stuff; but having ridden both tourist lines and "the real thing" there in recent years, I'm getting more interested. Thanks for posting.

    My new website

Hi Val: Great website, especially the Gallery. Anytime I miss Toronto (which I do occasionally), I guess I can go there and drool. Thanks for this latest display of your talents.

    Playing with trains

I received it for Christmas, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. From all I've heard, it's a great book.
