I forget if you go to the ubuntu forums the search feature there is more advanced than any I have seen before and the board is hugely populated with visitors. so specific answers are easy to get there. or google rpm to deb or rpm to deb conversion I forget i am ashamed to...

    Very true There are free anti virus though as no OS is safe from virus. 95% of viruses are windows only.

    try and install this. the problem is here is that xtrkcad is not set up in the repositories yet. It was but it didn't get updated. Try and install this file I made for my machine http://www.scratchbuildersguild.com/downloads/xtrkcad_4.0.2-3_i386.deb it should install by double click.

    Yeah mix together very small batches it just mixes them better that way. Thats what i do because I have fooled myself before too.

    OOOHH Canada, our home and native land. Sometimes I have a post that makes me feel good. In Windsor Rail polics have been stopping cars and handing out pamphlets on safety.

    Hotmail is web based isn't it ? I am about to go out for a drive with the kids when I get back I'll help you track down a solution. It is worth noting that hotmail is M$ software. Gmail is a much better email solution and it would even accept your hotmail messages easier then you might think...

    I just upgraded to 8.04 just so I am on the same page as anyone jumping into Ubuntu. Great looking build btw, much better then windows lol. Oh yeah compiz wiggly windows works great.
