    Starting over!

Good point I was going to cut the table in the corners on an angle, but the double ended yard is 4 ft wide. That may have to be made 3 ft wide. I was trying to squeze every inch I could. I have to see if I can reach once the table is up. thanks.

    Starting over!

Thanks The double ended yard is about 8 ft. The squares are 1 ft x 1 ft. scale is HO. The basment is not finished, but I don't mind it keeps the taxes down! This is just the first draft. My current yard with the turn table will fit where it is shown.

    Starting over!

Thats it! I diden't get the layout finished and I am starting over. I was in to much of a hurry so I will redesign the whole thing over. I thought I would make on big table in the middle of the basement, but now I see, around the walls is the only way to go. I am keeping the yard I had on the...

    cardboard

Shakey start Here is the first pic. I don't like the way I cut the strips with the rivits. The rivits came out nice, but cutting the strips square was a problem. I may re-due them. I also added thin carboard ribs on to of the strips with the rivits, but the thin strips twisted and bent so I...

    cardboard

Ill give it a shot Ok, I've just started. First I sketched the hopper, then I transfered it to Auto Cad. The cardboard is thick stock, but it has a ruff surface. I am thinking of using dope on the cardboard to get a smooth surface. I also cut some of the side braces out of index cards. I...

    cardboard

I am thinking of making a hopper. I am cheap when it comes to spending money on the hobby. I thinks its from when I was a kid and broke. Anyway I am thinking of making the sides out of cardboard. It seems like it might be to flimsey for rolling stock. Should I just spend the $$$ on the plastic?

    It's Friday, weekend modeling plans?

Programing This weekend I will be correcting bugs in my CTC program. I will be longing for the days when you hooked some wires and if there was no smoke, you were good to go. The good old days when there were no computer to be found anywhere in the house. :D

    Satellite Dishes

Edge dish Ok, So one day I finshed a can of Edge shaveing cream. I noticed the bottom had a nice inverted curve. So making sure as much of the gas as possiable was out I took a Razor saw to the can. This is what I got. I was thinking the top or bottom of a water tank, but a sat dish might be...

Time out to see some progress!

Roof pics Well Its not quite done yet. I have to figure what I want to do with the inside. Some of the roof pieces are not glued yet. I covered the roof with 400 Grit emery paper strips. I also covered up two of the skylights and added a hatch, since there is no outlet to the roof! I...
