Per request i'm adding a few more pics of the saucer underside. To create that part i laminated those parts (sheet h) into 1 mil cardboard, then on top of each other. all in all 3 layers. you can still see the layers on the left end of the saucer.

Actually i have 2 models from zosho, the akira and the enterprise. the defiant is from elsewhere, i printed it 1/4 size from the original. The majestic is from Diego cortes, you can find the original version in the download section. I changed the textures a bit and it's still under...

More pics!! on the top part of the saucer section i've added a few in between parts so that the overall result looks smoother, otherwhise the paper placed on top of the support parts would wave too much.

a few more pics on this, finished the warp drives as well. the overall result is not quite what i expected, maybe because i messed up somewhere. i'll try to figure out where...........:confused: only the engines are missing now

The finished secondary hull. I'll probably add extra phaser banks on top of the saucer and ventral secondary hull, looks a bit too flat. I'm building the bridge right now, not much to show, i'll take more pictures when i'll build the top part of the saucer. Not too far from finishing this...

sign1 Panzer, thanks for letting me know, changed the title the secondary hull is far more complicated, started by the middle and added a lot of internal support parts to maintain the pieces together, the flaps are not in the right position and adding internal support makes the hull rounder...

now adding the covers of the saucer section starting from the rear, i've added cardboard to prevent the parts from falling all around the circle. take a look at the second pic. All in all it took only a few minutes for this part

a few pics of the saucer section superstucture, the lower parts are just are glued on thick paper and placed on top of each other. that makes 3 layers of paper and a very heavy saucer

Dont have much time for this project right now but i'm planning to pick it up again soon. In the meantime did anybody managed to finish one build of the test projects for the Galaxy or the Miranda class? I'm planning on releasing the saucer with the textures i have, maybe that will help others...

Sorry i didnt update this before, i'm still very busy lately. the secondary hull is mapped and ready. here's some screenshots. Warp drives are going well, but before i finish those i have to map the neck section. Not sure when the Galaxy will be released.....

Had to take a break, work is taking a lot of my time. I'll send you what i have for the Miranda class, but only the warp drives have been done. Anybody knows the scale of the Akira class? I want to have the galaxy match the scale of the sovereign and Akira

Here's some update on the majestic. warp drives are almost done. i also started the torpedo launcher mapping. Next step is add a bit more detail to the drives

Actually yes, i am planning on making several textures for the galaxy. I need to find the right fonts for that. When i print from papekura the texture quality is not as good as the original so i'll redo the text on photoshop. changing the name is just a step away.take a look at the screenshots...

wanted to show the progress on the 3d model so far, i've highlighted the construction lines. the saucer itself hat to be modified to fit the neck section as you can see in one picture. not sure how the lower part of the secondary hull will be on papekura, that's likely to change.
