Progress is being made as I have started to ballast and add realism. I choose to do desert because I take a trip to southern california every year. And Santa Fe looks the best in this local as it did in real life. Hope you enjoy. If any tips let me know.

Check part of my new layout. Iam using atlas code 55 rail wich looks great. Looks even better after you weather it. The code 55 switches look way better than code 83 and perform better to. I dont see why any one would want to use code 83 ever again in N scale. Keep looking on for more progress.

That was the fist step right after you lay the track. All you do is find or buy a rust color spray paint and spray the rails with it or you can just air brush it.

The throw bars may not be throwing all the way to touch the rail causing evry thing from the throw bar back to frog to be dead. Also the frogs are plastic so going at slow speeds may cuse the stall. Try to run a six axle engine across it at slow speeds. See if that stals. But if you buy peco...

Here is the crane to move the loads around and I added a cabbose that caught on fire and as many cars as I could. I plan to go to the train club I belong to and grab some fencing material. I still need to add the line to the crane that is why there is no bucket. Thanks for all the advice.
