"They" don't think it's art.. They think it's a crime.......

That would be called "white lining" and that's part of the job, no different than me red tagging an old AC unit. I like the tattooing idea...and, since I've done it in the past, I'll be more than happy to do their best work gratis, in HO scale, right across their forehead.:thumb:

Thanks, guys. The building was a junk box rescue, an old Revell kit from the 60s. The flasher circuit was stripped from an old toy. Charlie, the fan came from a window casting leftover from an engine house kitbash, I just cut it out of that frame and fit it to this one.

So, what does your wife think?

My beloved is my best modeling companion, though motherhood, home-schooling and housekeeping have stood in the way a bit these past few years. She's always been supportive, even when money was tight. Oh, and my mother-in-law lives with us too...7 years now. Only adjustment I had to make for...

You're right, Jeff, lazy as I can be, I try to light everything up. I use 1.6mm LEDs as I've had too many incandescents burn out on me with no hope to replace them. My boarding house/ladies clothier got the full treatment...

    When The Chase Is over

My chase ended about a year and a half ago. I realized that being a home church pastor and dreams of a large layout don't mix very well, one or the other had to go. So I had a massive Ebay thing and pared it all down to the essentials---with 50+ locos and 175+ cars, I still need a little...

The original Springfield Southern is no more

My beloved stands by my hobby. She's even given up a large chunk of our bedroom for me to have room for it. Quite frankly, it looks more like my den than her bedroom but she's never made a fuss:oops:. I, in turn, don't even buy so much as a tube of cement without her knowing about it. I...

In keeping with the MOW theme...I can't remember if I posted this in one of my how-tos or not... A reworked Tyco crane finished in a quick paint over with a Revell boom tender.

    stripping paint

I use original Pine-Sol cleaner, works like a champ and I haven't had a problem with it attacking plastics yet. Just rinse it off well and let it air dry. I do a lot of modifying of diecast vehicles and it works especially well on the chrome parts.

    Been awhile...

Thank you for the kind words. I figure since this is my last layout, I would go all out on detail...just finished a sign for my hotel that is lit and features raised lettering. I'll post it elsewhere once I have pics. That would be my little girl...kinda looks like Cousin It in the picture...

Their wide vision cabeese are a good bit oversized---almost 4mm/00 scale so you might want to consider another candidate. I do the Kadee thing and change out the wheelsets to Intermountain 33" metal ones to most of my Tyco rolling stock, but do try to keep everything else the same. The Tyco...

    Favorite N Scale Manufacturer

You're welcome, Mark. I've slowed down my modeling a good bit, just enjoying the archiving of the good old daze of modeling on a very small scale with my trains. Reaping the benefits of all this new fangled technology that puts my favorites in the junk bins for next to nothing.:thumb:
