Beautiful work. Is this the latest release of the kit (within the last couple of years) or the old version from the early 90s? I have the kit printed out with enlargement to 1:250 scale, but haven't started building yet. Did you encounter any parts fit problems during the build? And how well...

I purchased a copy of the Wilhelmshafener Bismark (Kit 1201) during the Lighthouse closeout. It came without instructions. Does anyone happen to have a scan file of the instructions (English preferably, but I can eventually translate the German version) they could share with me?

Wribbit makes a real nice merry-go-round. It even works, and includes a music box. Not sure of it's availability, but I got one on Ebay for about $15.

When I purchased the model a few years ago, I was advised that there were a couple of significant fit problems, but they were fairly easily correctable if you made a scan of the model before building.

Don, the only way to build the older Maly kits is to scan them. I've found all the kits I've attempted are buildable (read that as only very minor fit problems). Just take care during the scan/print process that you don't introduce distortions into the kit. It's always a good idea to scan and...

Hello MissyMouse. Anyone whose avitar draws from one of my very favorite digital comic strips must be ok. One thing you haven't said....are you building from a scan of the kit or from the original? Also, have you compared the laser-cut parts against the original kit parts for size?

I thought someone else had come out with a PT boat recently, but after placing Poland north of Germany, hesitated to mention it without first doing some research. I haven't seen the Answer version yet, but it couldn't be much worse that the old Maly kit.
