    Maly Modelarz USS Essex 1:300

Beautiful work. Is this the latest release of the kit (within the last couple of years) or the old version from the early 90s? I have the kit printed out with enlargement to 1:250 scale, but haven't started building yet. Did you encounter any parts fit problems during the build? And how well...

    Wilhelmshavener Bismark help

I purchased a copy of the Wilhelmshafener Bismark (Kit 1201) during the Lighthouse closeout. It came without instructions. Does anyone happen to have a scan file of the instructions (English preferably, but I can eventually translate the German version) they could share with me?

    Carnival rides?

Wribbit makes a real nice merry-go-round. It even works, and includes a music box. Not sure of it's availability, but I got one on Ebay for about $15.

    Disney Pixar's CARS

These are absolutely outstanding....but you are wreaking havoc with my intended building sequence. I hope I can get copies before the mouse finds out and comes down around your ears.

    Disney Pixar's CARS

The more I see of this string, the more my jaw drops open in amazement. When you get to the point of posting them, however, please keep us second-class web citizens in mind (those of us country rubes who don't have access to wideband). Fortunately, I managed to get the wacky racers from the...

    H.G. Watkins - BB43 USS Tennessee

Instructions? Watkins kits don need no freakin instructions. If the BBs are anything like the cruisers, etc., a few basic diagrams are provided, but most of the details are left to the builder to figure out. The only saving grace is that the parts do seem to be numbered in the sequence they...

    Disney Pixar's CARS

No pressure at all, Rick. Just want you to know I'm already turning a lovely shade of blue. Nope, no pressure at all.

    H.G. Watkins - BB43 USS Tennessee

Scott, thanks for sharing the pdf of the magazine article. The ship on the top of page 2 is the USS Blue. I put a few pics in the gallery of my build of it. Must be late....I can't seem to get things together on the gallery postings.

    H.G. Watkins - BB43 USS Tennessee

I managed a successful redraw and enlargement (to 1:250) of the Watkins USS Helena. The text of the build string still exists, but the photos were "lost" during one of our outages due to site being hacked. I posted a few of the pics from the string in the members gallery (par usual, managed to...

    JSC Ship Models coming soon!

Amazyah, the JSC line of kits is like any other regarding buildability...it depends on who designed the model. I prefer 1:250 scale, so my JSC kit builds are based on 1:400 scale kits enlarged up to 1:250....if there are inherent design problems in the kits, they are really noticible after...

    Modelik USS Leutze Questions

When I purchased the model a few years ago, I was advised that there were a couple of significant fit problems, but they were fairly easily correctable if you made a scan of the model before building.

    Surprise in the mail

Don, the only way to build the older Maly kits is to scan them. I've found all the kits I've attempted are buildable (read that as only very minor fit problems). Just take care during the scan/print process that you don't introduce distortions into the kit. It's always a good idea to scan and...

    orlik XP-55 ascender

Hello MissyMouse. Anyone whose avitar draws from one of my very favorite digital comic strips must be ok. One thing you haven't said....are you building from a scan of the kit or from the original? Also, have you compared the laser-cut parts against the original kit parts for size?

Anyone know if these are available?

I thought someone else had come out with a PT boat recently, but after placing Poland north of Germany, hesitated to mention it without first doing some research. I haven't seen the Answer version yet, but it couldn't be much worse that the old Maly kit.
