    No we had a combie and driver. We used him most of the days we were in the Cape Town area then had him drive us to Port Elizabeth via the Little Karoo. As I recall we spent the night in Wilderness, near George. Beautiful drive.

    Since 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening we have had 3.9 inches of rain in my rain gauge here at home, 2.8 inches of that falling last night!!

    47 F here this morning with a predicted high of 65. Lots of leaves on the ground, so the fall racking begins NOW:eek::eek: Great day yesterday as I got stopped by 3 or 4 trains as I moved around town doing errands. :thumb::thumb:

    When we went down to the Cape from Cape Town we came back along the Indian Ocean side through Simonstown. Somewhere along that stretch we ate lunch at the Black Marlin Restaurant. As I recall, excellent food, as it was everywhere we ate in SA and Lesotho.

    NKP; How are you planning to pay for your post doc studies? Ever heard of a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship? May students I have worked with compare them to a Rhodes (speaking of South Africa!) Scholarship. Generally the scholarship is worth up to about $25,000 a year.
