Don't forget, the German ones are European N guage which is 1-146, so the size will be incorrect if used directly. Not by much but it will be noticeable.

Thanks in advance Lynn,. I found one site which said 12 feet long, which doesn't seem right. The reason i asked forWisconsin was that I guess there will be a difference between North and South due to the different winters I guess 8 feet wide per lane by 50 feet long will be OK.

About a year ago there were a number of pictures of something similar posted on the net - also in one of the magazines I think. Can't find them at the moment, but the detail was pretty awesome - a complete interior. however building something like this wouldn't leave much room for anything else.
