    Erie in N scale

This has to be one of the nicest layouts I have seen. Sure, those basement empires are nice, but Chris' layout is small, simple, operable, well scenicked. Good job, sir

There's an article in this month's Model Railroading mag that shows how to make the spout operable with a Turtle switch machine. You might want to check it out.

    Working With Cardboard

The point of building using cardboard and paper is to save $$$ and actually BUILD something, not just glue parts. What's weird is that people will pay 30$ for a paper kit, otherwise they wouldn't sell them.

    Bill Boards

LOL this Jack Daniel's billboard is so funny! I'm scratchbuilding it right now. I made the sign in MS Paint and printed it on plain paper. then I cut a styrene piece to glue the paper on and painted the back black. Can I spray dullcote over the paper of is it going to make a big mess????

    Working With Cardboard

Thanks all. I'm gonna go get myself some decent brushes soon. The actual thing I built wasn't bad, but the paint is lame. I'll just make another one (no way I'm buying another of those stupid Walthers kit!!!).

    Working With Cardboard

I've tried with a brush, but the brush strokes clearly shows. Is there a way to hide them?? It looks kinda lame, but not bad for a first attempt. Too bad I don't have a digi cam:( :( :(

    Woodchip Industry

rsn : my layout is currently a piece of 1½" pink foam with nothing on it. Because of the roof there's some of the wall that's inclined so between the top of the layout and the beginning of the inclined part there's about 7-8 inches max. I can't put my ADM elevator against the wall because it's...

OK, Peco has my vote--Now, Electro vs Insulfrog

This has happened to me before. I bid on a boxcar and 30 secondes before the auction end I get an email (thinking it was to tell me I had won) only to see some guy had outbidded me. Frustrating, yes. He might have put his max bid to a very high value (knowing you hadn't bidded crazy since you...

OK, Peco has my vote--Now, Electro vs Insulfrog

no. If the item's starting price was, say, 19.99, and you enter 45.07 as your max bid price, and the increasement is by 1$, the bid sets itself to 20.99. If for example, someone puts in 30$, you will automatically beat him and the bid will be said to 30$ + min increasement so 31$. I'm not...
