    2ND Gauge Layout party

Sorry I'm late.... (not completely my fault, once I had the post ready the site was down:rolleyes: ) My goal is to finish a minor remodel on a corner module for the local N-trak club. This is a 4ft. corner with standard red and yellow lines, but the blue line had sharper turns...

    Challenger visits Crockett, TX

Rory, or any one else who might know Any idea why they were using the tank truck for water? Both times I've seen the Challenger in Coffeyville, KS they just connect to a fire hydrant with hoses stored in one of the tenders. My only thought would distance to hydrant or something in local...

    First RAW photo

I vote... I think the bottom one is raw-no mods from camera. I'm guessing for the top photo, the camera's light metering may have been set to center metering and thrown off by the bright headlight in the center of the frame. Only guesses here...don't have digital camera to play with:(

    Trouble's

Bankruptcy coming soon.... Hope your stockholders don't see that picture Shamus. If they do, I hope you have replaced the engine designer and track foreman. Too many designs like that getting out would surely shake the stockholders confidence... Nice picture as always

    Train Shows on TV!

a little additional info... Thanks for the post McFortner. I should be ashamed that I didn't post this first, as I work a company that takes DTV tech service calls. If watching on DTV, you need multisat equipment(ie: oval dish with 2 or 3 lnbs(white caps in front of dish)). But if...

    A Fun Game

Which end for loco? My take on the game is... Local train came from yard(out of view stage left)...switches industrial(sp?) area...then leaves with loco on left side to return to yard...I've done this in 46 moves:) (but can't prove it:( , because I can't figure out how to capture the...

Plexiglass - where to buy in Toronto?

Try office supply store.... My first thought when you described trying to make "tinted" windows was some sort of "report cover." Did a little searching around Office Depots site and came up with this.... GBC® Translucent Gel 3/8" Plastic Binding Combs, Sage Green, Pack Of 12...

    Those Are My Rolling Stock

Look for the grey bar.... I think most cars are tracked electronically. If your looking at the side of a railcar, towards the right side on the bottom "sill" you'll see a grey rectangle about 4" by 9". This looks like the same type of device many states use for "automatic" toll collection on...

    Rail Grinder

Running in reverse??? Looks to me that the unit is running in reverse in the picture(ie: the caboose is leading). Looking at the water the tank car is spraying, the ballast in the foreground looks dry. Ballast behind the water spray looks wet, like they are watering first to moisten(sp?)...
