Newbie painter hesitation: lacquer on acrilic?

I don't know if this as been already answered of if is a silly question, but better safe than sorry. If I use acrilic paints (Polly Scale), can I use as lacquer the Testors Dullcote? Or I should use the Polly finishers? I have heard about some lacquers attaccking non-enamel...

Jeez! :D I don't now how it can be in the US, but here the regulations about the size & position of the vehicle lights are very restrictive (not to speak of your lady ones). All non-standard modifications must get checked and pass an oficial exam, in order to get the official...

I need pictures of D&RGW "Big Hook"

Hi, RioGrande. You're right, the Roco crane is not so-perfect match to the #028. The window layout is the most apparent difference (there are others also: the trucks with friction bearing in the prototype and roller bearings in the model, the chimney, the rear cab ladders, ...). Initially...

Best Polly Scale # to match D&RGW "Grande Gold/MOW yellow"?

Hi Gaugers, I have heard very good things about the water-based Polly Scale acrilics, so I wanted to try them. The big "but" about it is that PS paints aren't sold in Spain, and I will be obliged to buy the colours without seeing it "live" in the hobby shop. I need a match for...

    What's next for EMD?

Touché!! ;) Humm, I know that some UP turbines were rated up to 8500hp (or so), and that the UP DD40AX coped at 6600hp, but what C&O diesel reached the seven-thousend figure? Or are you referring to these M-1 class coal-turbine monsters?

    Atlas Forum gone until August?!?!?

Thanks for the clarification, Jon, Shaygetz and Brakie. :thumb: «Dictionary of American Idioms»? Hey, I want one of these! :D My «Español/Inglés, English/Spanish» Collins is very british-oriented, and is belly up against some southern expressions of ya! :D One of the funniest...

    What's next for EMD?

With the actual prices of oil, I suspect that the future developments will go more in reduce fuel consumption and increase efficience rather than increase engine power, but that's only my 2cts. However, it would be nice to see an 7000hp locomotive! :p

Idiomatic question Er, this time you guys have got me. What means «be off my rocker»? It's like «to be out to lunch»? (I'm afraid that you have defeated my english knowledge)
