    Artilleriefährprahm Type D 3, scale 1/200

That is a wonderful rendition of the track "The Kiss" from "The Last of the Mohicans." I liked that particular solo so much that I asked a music major acquaintance if he could figure out the sheet music for the "simple" tune. He did, and I was able to play it with a bit of practice. It ranks up...

USS Selfridge DD 357 1/200 Scale

Ahh . . . I think I understand what you are doing. Does this accurately depict what a cross section would look like with the cardboard strips?

    Halo 4 DMR mk2 (a w.i.p )

The model looks really good. I like the complexity shown above. It doesn't look too complex, but seems to have a suitable level of "realism." Of course, we are talking a computer model of a computer game model. :-D

    Jedi ETA-2 by Paper-Replika

@Norton- Thanks for the kind words. Danke schön. @Samurai32- Well, the time frame kinda went out the window:oops:, but I do plan to finish them. As with many folks, real life sometimes just gets in the way of things. As Robert Burns said "The best laid schemes of mice and men, go often awry."

USS Selfridge DD 357 1/200 Scale

I think that I'm being dense here. But I don't think that I'm quite grasping how you are filling between the formers. Are you taking multiple wedges of balsa and gluing them in, or are you taking thin(ish) strips, say 1/8 to 1/4" and gluing them in? I've seen other ship builders use expanding...

@ Zathros- well when I'm not home my wife generally is. And she is a scrapper, take it from me- you don't want to mess with her! @ Skoda- that is some mighty fine and clean building! I really like the planning, layering, and attention to detail that you are putting into this.

USS Selfridge DD 357 1/200 Scale

Hmmm . . . a Wickes class you say? I am currenly upscaling a Wickes class HMS Campbeltown by JSC from around 1/400 to 1/72 scale to sit opposite a Type VII U-Boat. Who makes this Wickes class destroyer that you mention?

No Zathros, I think that this particular piece of incredible awesomness belongs in my Man Cave. Where it will sit next to my Colonial Marines Armor, and 1/18th scale APC and Bad @ss Drop ship. Oh, that's right . . . . . . I don't have any of that. :( Nevermind.

WWI Planes w/engines and Rib Wing Effect

So it's been awhile since I posted. Reading on another forum about how to create a rib wing effect inspired me to build a couple of WWI planes . . . . well that and watching Fly Boys again. I like to build in 1/72 scale, so I downloaded Prudenziati's Nieuport 17 and Fokker Dr1 from here...

Many thanks for the kind words, work on the fighters is sporadic, It seems like the vbsargent household can't go two weeks without some plague sweeping in and getting each of us, one by one. I actually have a few new pics on the way, just gotta upload them to my computer at home, then to my...
