    Hello Friends

Now wait a minute, I never claimed anything beyond keeping Xacto and the the recycling bin people busy  Interestingly enough, I used to live in LA myself years ago (Andalusia, Dothan and Ozark). Of course these days I'm about as far as you can get, living in Kuwait. Thank you for the...

    Custom Micromodels Train Diorama

A bit on the construction and completion: I used (fresh) coffee grounds to give the landscape texture. The ballast along the track is (fresh) black tea. I then drybrushed acrylic colors on in layers to color and add depth. The smaller bushes and shrubs are (fresh) green tea mixed with a bit of...

    Custom Micromodels Train Diorama

@ Bulldogowner and Elliot: Thanks for the kind words, I will surely post more pictures soon. I am however, sad to report that I didn't make a build log as such. I can put something in so you can judge scale though. Most of the Micromodels trains seem to scale out 1:250 maybe? @allhallowseve...

    Help Please!

Well a bit late, but GPM, Modelik, Betexta, ABC and JSC all have churches. Also, there are quite a few free and paid options if you search for Origamic Architecture.

Why do you build card models

Well (without boring you to much) long years ago when I began my career in aviation, I was a metalsmith. To me, card modeling brings the same pleasure and satisfaction of creating a complex shape from a flat pattern. Also, card modeling requires a fair amount of ingenuity to achieve your goal...

    Paper Train Factory

@ Matt: Modelik and Angraf have some. You can also scale up scans of your model (which will require some copy and pasting). Several sites have conversion charts that list the percentage to scale up to achieve the desired scale.
