VERY excited! Found MY train ;)

Riogrande, I think this is one example where the Nostalgia of the trainset, no matter what the quality, is responsible for bringing one back to us. That should never be discounted! And besides, there really is WAY too much potential and opportunity available to teenagers (and always has been)...

Why I love E-Bay for this Hobby

If I remeber right, Pennsy Did do a lot of experimentation with multiple driver beds. Other then the Metal mites, there really is no reason manoy of the older locomotives won't run forever. especially those with metal running gear and metal drives. You want to make a metal drive quiet, you...

    Next addition to The Academy?

If you DON't put the "what is this" thread in there, then I don;t know WHAT you WILL put in there!!! Though I might recommend Robin writing it up in a more progressive style such as that you might find in a railroad magazine...title it something like "Coaling Towers In Cereal Boxes" or...

    What Is It?

Um...I'm Speechless. I used to work in card stock and so forth, but my hands were never good with it. I have gone to other building materials...but this project is quite simply over the top! You might try finding a finer thread yet, though that may be hard in N scale....I have found that...

Rubn7y Yep, same one, except you have put s little more into your detail, very nice indeed. I Brush painted the body and tender using a pollyscale paint. This single bottle of paint goes on smoothly and perfectly opaque over everything I throw it. The rotary portion on mine IS red, this...

    HO scale towboat

Anybody interested in having one of these babies in N Scale, look for a kit made by Lindberg, they show up on Ebay from time to time. By my calculations, it may be a little off, but it should be perfect in an N-scale setting. I have one right now, but I have sold it already...sorry!
