    switch machines under foam core

I'm using Peco turnouts with PL10W's directly mounted to the underside of the turnout. Then a small pocket cut in 1" foam to house the motor. That way the cutout should be fairly small and easy to hide with track ballast. John

    Blue Foam as Roadbed?

Foam source Where did you get your foam sheet. I need a 4'x8'x2" sheet and can't find it anywhere locally. Unless of course I'm searching for the wrong thing. Neither Lowes or Home Depot seem to have it. Help please, John

    Peco source

Does anyone know of a vendor in North America who carries more than just a token sample of Peco code 55 items? I can find all kinds of suppliers of turnouts but nobody that carries any set-track and very few that carry double slips and crossovers. Thanks, John

    Mounting roadbed & track

I have another topic I would like to hear some comment on. I'm building a layout I found on another forum. As suggested, I have a piece of 3/4" insulating foam mounted on a 36" door which I cut down to 60" for a 3 ft by 5 ft bench. Someone suggested using hot glue to mount the roadbed to the...

    Coupler conversion

I was reading some messages that suggested using Micro-Trains couplers to convert from Rapido. I looked at the MT site and found that they have a number of different versions of their coupler. I have a couple of Life-Like cars and several Atlas cars with Rapido couplers that I want to convert...
