    MiG Ye-8 in 1/200

Merci, Jean-Paul. I also buit one of Rawen's MiG-15UTI but it was a pre-release model (it was too short). I should build the final version now (and change the landing gear of the Ye-8.) I'm curently designing a Mirage III (E/R for now). Here are some pics of the most recent test-builds...

    MiG Ye-8 in 1/200

Here are some pics of Vladimir's MiG Ye-8, an interceptor from the early sixties and a derivative of the MiG-21. Two prototypes were built. This is the second one, the Ye-8/2. The original model is avalaible here in the download section as a white model and a color one. I resized the white...

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

Thanks. I love the Jaguar, but my eyes are right now set on the F-5 family. The F-5E and F are the next in line. Ojimak's F-20 can be reduced to 1/200. Just print 6 pages on 1 (A4). I built one but it was printed on a monochrome printer and I inverted the wings' upperside and...

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

I'm working on an NF-5A (and B) in Turkish Stars colors (3rd pic). The other pictures show my first test build of the wingtips fuel tanks. The aircraft itself is an early test build, not my current F-5A.

    I built 2 more T-38A. The build report (in french) is here and the PDF files are awaiting approval : - white model - Portuguese Air Force - NASA (3 planes, N901NA, N962NA & N964NA) - Thunderbirds (2 planes, numbers 1 & 5) - Thunderbirds 1976 paint scheme (2 planes, numbers 1 & 5)

Here's a family portrait of the 5 prototypes built to date: - 1 tiny F-5A with missing nozzles - 1 mini F-5A - 2 mini F-5B - 1 mini T-38A And some pics of the T-38A in Thunderbirds colors. Not a clean build due to the antenna on the back. I'll have to change the color of the canopy on color...

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

Thanks Robert. Samardza, I'll do the Thunderbirds version. Their logo will be barely visible at 1/200 scale but it will be there. I skipped the flag panel on the other side.

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

Why not, but the livery is complex and the flag panel will be a problem. Right now, the intended liveries for the T-38A are USAF white, NASA and Portuguese Air Force. Here is a quick profile of NASA 901 I did yesterday. The registration won't be legible on the real model but it's...

I built a second F-5B. This one was printed on the old color printer we have at the office... an utterly unreliable HP Business Inkjet 2600. Pics of prototypes 4 and 5 below. The grey/blue one is supposed to be a SF-5B of Ala 23 of the Spanish Air Force based at Talavera la Real in southwestern...

Prototype 4, test build of the F-5B. There are still some kinks I need to iron out but the configuration of the air intake/engine nacelles/nozzle parts is now complete. The last pic shows prototypes 3 and 4 with Vladimir's Su-24 (I colored it after I built it). They're all supposed to 1/200 scale.

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

I skipped prototype 2 and built number 3. It's bigger : its length is 7 cm (still no nozzles) and the wingspan is 4 cm -> it's supposed to be 1/200. I didn't change the engine nacelles and I think I'll completely redesign the model and the way I cut it into different parts. I'm actually...

    Tiny F-5 and T-38

Thanks. I made the engine nacelles but I'll have to redo and simplify them. They're a nightmare to cut and build. The nozzles are still missing. I hope my second prototype will be better built. At least I'll use my usual tools and I won't forget to add some weight inside the nose/canopy area...
