Looking at a certain pirate archive, it looks like Hobby Model had an F8U-2NE/F-8E in 1:33 scale (Hobby Model Nr. 66, pics at kartonbau.de) and Wilhelmshavener Modelbaubogen had an F8U-2/F-8C in 1:50 scale (pic in this message from kartonbau.de). They're probably out of print. I think the IAF...

If you want to try them Paper Replika has an F/A-18 in Blue Angels colors (and many others). Eastern has one in VFA-195 markings (Chippy Ho).

I build smaller than you (1:200) and what what I use to get the round shapes is a wooden stick, actually a brochette stick, sometimes a toothpick. If the part is small, I'll usually form it on the brochette stick/toothpick before it'scompletely cut out.

I posted some pics here but here are the last 2 test-builds: a Mirage 5F (colored like a Nesher) and a Kfir C1.
