I would think it didn't matter, once in public domain you can't go and re-copyright them. So once the time passed without being used, too bad UP, you abandoned the rights. UP is just trying to get every $$$ they can because they have a monsterous administrative overhead that produces nothing...

Update time: Kate is now home and sore from the C-section. Mark was transfered to Childrens Hospital of Atlanta so the specialists could check him out there (none of them had privledges at the hospital he was in). They have already done the ultrasounds of the brain, heart, spine and abdomen and...
