    PSF: Phase Pistol

Okay here's an update on the phase pistol! I think it looks pretty stunning so far... oh and I've been working on that pun all day ;) It's only lacking a few more parts, then I can put it all together. However I'll probably build another grip because this one seems a bit large.

Pillar of Autumn - Anyone doing this?

That looks great! How big are you planning on making this one? I haven't worked on my PoA since January... but by then it looked like this (see below). It's exploded for improved mesh accessibility :) I estimate mine would have to be around two feet long to be built very conveniently!

    PSF: Phase Pistol

Thank you for your advice!! I think maybe I'll try the expanding foam. I think I could also put in the weight before foaming, this way I won't have to carve the stuff out afterwards ;) So far I have built two more parts, but they aren't very spectacular, so I didn't take new pics. Apart from...

    PSF: Phase Pistol

Thank you :D Today I have experimented with reinforcing the paper model with epoxy, the result is quite sturdy... I'm too lazy to use aluminum ;) For now there will be no textures as I am planning to paint it after building (better metal effect) and apart from that, there's almost no surface...

    PSF: Phase Pistol

Hi there, I believe to remember there was some talk about Star Trek props recently... so I thought I'd let you know what's soon to come ;) I am currently working on the Phase Pistol from Enterprise. The 3D model is finished, so is unfolding, but I still have to fiddle with some of the flaps...

    Halo (1) Pelican

Hi Indoramina, thank you for your appreciation. It's funny that you ask for the 3D data right now, because I have received two emails on that the last days... nevertheless I have to tell you the same, I will not give any Pepakura or what-ever-3D-program data to anyone as I have made some bad...

Tiny 1/200 Viper Mk II from new BSG

You name it, that's definately the difficult part of the model... the problem is that the parts intersect in the 3D model, so I cut out the intersecting areas. I was thinking about glueing the wings to thick card too, but then I figured I am not planning to use it as a toy (at least not most of...

Tiny 1/200 Viper Mk II from new BSG

More or less by accident I managed to scale the viper to 1:144 to make it fit my plastic planes :D I'll print it this afternoon (colour laser, harhar). Maybe I'll add a landing gear, that would be cool!

Pillar of Autumn - Anyone doing this?

As a matter of fact I have already a simplified mesh of the Autumn ready and waiting to be properly textured and unfolded! I also have the textures, but unfortunately I'm not really into texturing, so I put the project aside to focus on other things for now... The model is in Metasequioa. Maybe...

    [Free Model #3] Pandora

Man, the hull looks reeally smooth! how did you do that? mine is all wavy and dented... hm! Still it definately makes me want to continue mine :) I used some garden wire for those pieces, which is available plastic-coated or tinned. Maybe the tinned wire is better because of its silvery colour...

    Puddle Jumper & Stargate

Hi people! I just finished the Puddle Jumper to go with my Stargate, so I thought I'd show you the results. The Jumper is from PaperAviation - Kartonmodellbau made in Thüringen and the gate I made myself. I think they are now in 1:48 scale, as the jumper was supposed to be in 1:72 and I printed...

    [Free Model #3] Pandora

Speaking of wire, I tried that - works really nice, but it needs also a lot of work and I had some problems with getting the right diameter, that's why my build of the pandora is currently halted, sorry :) However, it looks promising :D

    Free Model Review: Serenity

Btw did any of you make the engine pods moveable? Mine can be folded up and down, but making them rotate for vector thrust was a bit too tricky so I skipped that... this is already cute enough, with the hydraulic cylinder sliding in and out :D

    Free Model Review: Serenity

That looks really great! I built that model too, I think the most difficult part was to join the neck with the middle hull. Great looking model though!
